Christmas is on the way, so from now until the 1st of December, I'll be offering traditional portraits and busts for $10! I'll also be offering one free card for every $10 of commissions you buy!

What I can do:

- pencil, pencil crayon, pen and ink, digital (photoshop), photomanipulation
- I generally do realism or semi-realism, but I can do other styles if requested (I will not directly copy another artist's style though)
- I specialize in horses, but can do most other animals as well. I'm not that great with people, but will try if requested.
- I can draw almost anything from a photo

What I will not do:

- draw copyrighted characters without the copyright holder's permission (this includes fan art of characters from tv shows, anime, movies, books, etc.)
- work from any images that don't belong to the commissioner or myself without the permission of the artist (except in the case of stock that has been specified as free for commercial use)
- draw anything sexually explicit
- draw anything racist, sexist, etc.
- draw anything excessively violent or gory (I'm not squeamish though, so most things should be okay. Tell me what you want and I'll tell you whether or not I'll do it)

What you can do with your commission:

- use for personal, non-commercial purposes
- post on a personal website or blog, ie, one that YOU OWN AND RUN YOURSELF (preferably with a watermark to avoid theft, which I can provide) This includes websites hosted by sites such as freewebs.
- use as an avatar
- use as a reference/character sheet for your RPG character
- use as a reference for your artwork
- give away as a gift

What you cannot do with your commission (without my permission)

- Make and sell or give away copies
- Post on a website you don't own (ie, facebook, flickr, myspace, deviantart)
- Claim it as your own
- Use for any commercial purpose
- Sell the original

** Please note, even though you are paying for the commission, I still own the copyright. If you would like to use the finished piece for any commercial reason, please let me know so we can work out a price for purchasing the rights.

Prices:

Prices are based mostly on the amount of time I spend on a piece, and the cost of materials. The prices below are ESTIMATES ONLY! This is the price you can USUALLY expect to pay, but I will always give a case-by-case estimate based on how long I think it will take me and how much it will cost me to do it. My estimates are usually higher than what I think you will end up paying, and I will NEVER charge you more than the highest estimate I give you. This is for my benefit as well as yours. I don't want you coming into the deal thinking you'll be paying $30.00, and then being short if it ends up being $50.00, because either you'll be angry at me because I'm asking you to pay more than you thought, or I'll be angry at you because you can't pay me what I ask. This way, if it ends up costing me more in time and materials than I thought, it is solely my problem, not yours.

The concept sketches, both coloured and not coloured, are free. Once they have been approved, I will require at least half of the payment up front. If you decide to cancel the commission after paying, the money will not be refunded, so be sure you want it before paying. This is to protect me, so that I don't waste valuable time doing a commission I'm never getting paid for. Once I get the initial payment, I will give you regular updates on how the piece is going. I will show you the finished piece (with a watermark) but you will not actually receive it until I get full payment. If you're worried about this, just remember that I'm trying to make a business out of selling my art. It would only hurt me to scam you I have a reputation to uphold.

I prefer paypal, but will also accept cash or a cheque.

Please let me know if you would like the commission to remain private, in which case the commission will not be posted anywhere on or off dA, and your name will not appear in my journal.

I reserve the right to refuse service to any commissioner for any reason. This will generally only happen if the image requested is unreasonable or the commissioner is rude. If money has already been paid and I'm the one who decides to cancel the commission, you will be refunded.

(all traditional commissions will be done on 8 1/2 by 11 inch card or cover stock unless otherwise requested. Card sizes will vary depending on what I have available, but if you have a specific size you'd like, I will try my best to make them that size.)
